The NCAA

Everywhere I turn I can't seem to get away from the constant University of Miami scandal.  Boats, booze, and babes... Obviously punishment will follow the "extensive" investigations by the almighty NCAA governing body.  While "The U" is about to be pushed to the brink of the death penalty, my issue is with the NCAA.

Following the recent Ohio State scandal, recruiting rules have been changed.  Official visits have been constricted.  Phone calls have been limited.  Breakfast has been destroyed... Wait, what?!

Yes, it's true the NCAA has imposed breakfast regulations.  Recruits are now limited to fruit, nuts, and a bagel for breakfast.  Want some cream cheese?  Violation.  Can I have jelly instead?  Violation.  What kind of country are we living in if we can't even get some cream cheese with our bagel?!

The NCAA is a joke.  When you can't keep an eye on schools that have had a past history in questionable recruiting practices, how can you expect to gain respect from athletes?  The monster that is illegal recruiting has been created by the NCAA.  Turning a blind eye to make a quick buck.

It's time for a change and a new governing body in college sports.  Take a stance and make a change.  Worry about compliance and not about breakfast.
